Question : ACT! pad file question

I have a customer accessing a ACT! database via Citrix and now needs to access via a LAN. The *.pad file references to the server name and then "C:\ACT! database"
That's fine for Citrix users when they log on as it's like they work off the server but I get a "cannot find database supplemental files folders" on a system that accesses the ACT! database via the LAN. I'm assuming the *.pad file should be generic like "\\server\ACT! database"?
I tried it - doesn't work on the LAN workstation - we get the cannot find "supplemental stuff".
Ideas?
