Ok TR
Success! Finally.
Working on the thought.... I can be more stubborn than you, I will completely screw with your head and my KungFu stronger than , u will lose! hehe
So like I said no joy when taking ownership, changing permissions etc. so I notice that the entry also was pointing a device driver at {4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0014 so I went to 0014 and managed to delete that. Then working backwards I started deleting what I could. Basically a bit of a hodge podge but between deleteing what I could in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CONTROLSET001\ENUM\ROOT\NET/000
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CONTROLSET002\ENUM\ROOT\NET/000
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\ENUM\ROOT\NET/000
Combined with regclean and reboots in between what could be deleted. It then came up with unknown device and failed to load the driver, which I then knew I had him on the ropes. Went and uninstalled that, ran reg clean once more. Reboot and viola! Machine like I like it....clean.
Well it was fun thanx for your help.you really did help.
Cheers
