Question : RAID 6 array expansion with Dell Poweredge 2950 III

I have a Dell Poweredge 2950 with a RAID 6 array of 4 drives, I have bought 2 more drives and want to expand the array using Online Capacity Expansion. I initially thought you could do this through the RAID BIOS but i've checked and it doesn't look like it.

I have installed Dell Open manage which from what I have read seems to be able to do it but the installer says only the minimal web interface is available and the rest is not compatible with my server. I have confirmed on the Dell compatibility matrix it is but the main OS runs within a Xen BVM so I figure that might have something to do with it.

I have tried downloading the LSI RAID manager from their site but it installs what looks like a client type application and trying to manage the localhost as per instructions I found regarding it haven't got it working.

Anyone done this before and can help me out?

OpenManage Server Administrator can do this through a "reconfigure" of the array.  Many of these utilities are not yet compatible to be run from a VM, and should be run from an Windows or Linux OS running directly on the hardware.  You might consider using an OpenManage LiveCD to run the Reconfigure.
