Question : Computer won't recognize Seagate Freeagent Go 320gb
My Freeagent go hard drive was working beautifully up until today. It was working on Friday, then sat on my counter then purse/pocket all weekend, and then today when I tried to plug it in, the computer won't recognize it. I can hear the drive spin, but the light that normally signifies that it is on and connected does not light up. It is not showing up in either Device Manager or Disk Management. I've tried multiple USB ports on my laptop as well as a desktop with no luck. How can i fix this? Thanks for your hlep!
Answer : Computer won't recognize Seagate Freeagent Go 320gb
Hi,
The same happened to me lately. The disk stopped working overnight, while sitting on a shelf. Luckily, the disk was OK, but the HDD case (controller) was broken. After moving the 2.5" disk to a new case, it worked again.
Regards, zurb
