Question : 3d barcodes (q-codes)

We're thinking of doing a mobile coupon promotion in england and we we're wondering if was practical to use 3D barcodes, the newer q versions. ARe english retailers able to scan them? If not how easy would it be to make barcode graphics on the fly to text to people as unique one use vouchers based on URN's?

Retailers are only setup to scan barcodes approved by GS1. If you want retail compatibility, I would recommend DataBar Expanded Stacked. For other purposes, I would recommend DataMatrix or QR-Code.
