Question : Split PDF itextsharp - File Size
I was wondering if someone could help with the following issue. I have used the itextsharp.dll to split a .pdf into two files using vb.net. This has worked great apart from the size of the files after they have split.
The original file was 14MB and after the split the two files total 27MB. Can I reduce the file size by somehow compressing the .PDF file on the extraction? It needs to stay as a .PDF file.
The reason that the size of the file is an issue is because our company prints a lot of artwork that is sent in and the additional file size causes the printing process to take longer and due to the volume of files that we will get in will make a big difference.
Any help would be appreciated.
