Question : update CentOS to php 5.2 or php5.3

I am new to linux, I managed to get a lamp server built. though I noticed YUM only updates php to 5.1 which I need to be at least at 5.2 (5.3 preferred).

I understood that CentOS follows RHEL and they are conservative. Is there an easy way to upgrade to php 5.2 or 5.3 ( or semi automated) and does not risk the OS and functionality.

Does CentOS or RH release beta RPMs available for YUM where I can get that upgraded or something?

Answer : update CentOS to php 5.2 or php5.3

I found this useful to get it when i tried, it does not use the standard repos but it works.
