Question : Windows 2003 DC, want to install DNS but setup fails on missing file(s). (dnsperf.h)

I have an existing server that I want to setup DNS on. I have tried to install the service (setup) but it fails and asks for the file "dnsperf.h". I cannot find it on the installation cd and it is not on the hdd. The file dnsperf.dll though is on the hdd. What the heck is going on? The server is in use and is about 5yrs old. Installation is about 2 yrs old.
It is an small domain with this being the only domain controller. What do I do? I just cannot get any further right now. Might be that there are other files missing too but that I'll find out only after getting that darn dnsperf.h so the setup procedure goes forward.

Answer : Windows 2003 DC, want to install DNS but setup fails on missing file(s). (dnsperf.h)

When there is just 7 users, i'll recommend go for new domain installation & since you are going for windows 2008,go for for win2k8 R2.

AD can't work w/o dns & i don't know how your domain is running w/o dns,so install from scratch & it will be better for further management.

Why i'm saying for new installation, because i think OS may required to repair & again database has to be restored & may be other error comes up,so go for new installation.
