Question : Post SS Reporting Services Report to web
I am setting up SSRS 2008 on a computer that I use to host a web application (IIS 7)
I would like to set it up that a specific report is run each morning and saved to a file that can accessed from the internet.
Each morning SSRS would run the report and save it to the same file, over writing the previous day's report. I believe I can figure out how to set up SSRS to run the report each day and save it to a file.
I am less familar with setting up a website and want to know if there is an easy way to make this report available through the web. I know how to set up a website in IIS, know how to add an application to to website. What would be the best output format for the SSRS report and where should I save it so that it is available for viewing over the internet?
Thanks
Answer : Post SS Reporting Services Report to web
you have to make a page on your web site that has the Report Services control in it. then have the control setup to view all reports in the directory you want.
