Question : Internet Explorer Browser and Yahoo Messenger not working in Windows XP although Firefox is working fine
I need to use Yahoo Messenger which runs via IE, I am not able to use YM because my Internet explorer is not able to browse. I don't have any Firewalls running at all. I have updated IE and nothing works. I have also tried to Restore my computer to a previous date and for some reason it won't do it, "but that's another issue" Any solutions? I know there is a way to make Firefox the default browser of YM in Windows Vista, but is there anyway to get FF to be the default browser for YM in Windows XP?
Answer : Internet Explorer Browser and Yahoo Messenger not working in Windows XP although Firefox is working fine
Do you have any proxy settings in IE?
Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings?
You can make firefox your default browser, but if YM is using proxy settings from IE, then it will make no difference.
