Question : Best Practice for User Document and Setting Backup and Migration

I am currently in the process of backing up user data for multiple users and then providing them with new machines with fresh OS images. What is the best way to transfer all of their data and settings so that the migration seems transparent to them? The OS is Vista.

firewall issue?  you could test with a google smart host or hotmail (if you have their accounts).  Really there isn't a whole lot to IIS smtp.
