Question : Cisco 2950G Password Recovery - WIll I loose the existing config ?

Could someone please tell me if you loose the existing device config if you follow the Cisco password recovery guide?

If you follow the instructions to a T, no you will not.

You are just renaming the config to .old, rebooting, and renaming .old back to original config, then updating the password.
