Question : Imprort from Access db to SS 2005 failing: "cannot start your application"

I 'm trying to use the SQL Server 2005 Import / Export wizard to import data from a password-protected MS Access 2003 database, and though I know the password and provide this info to the wizard, the process fails at the "choose a data source" stage with this error:

The operation could not be completed. Cannot start your application. The workgroup information file is missing or opened exclusively by another user. (Microsoft JET Database Engine)

the file isn't open, so googling has lead me to information about the system.mdb file, which I copied from my PC to the SQL Server, and though I've tried a variety of locations for the file, the Import wizard can't see it.

I'd go with an excel or CSV export from the Access db, but I need to set up something I can use on an ongoing basis as the Access db is still in use.

Suggestions greatly appreciated! Thanks.--Chris

Answer : Imprort from Access db to SS 2005 failing: "cannot start your application"

A brilliant e-mail correspondent gave me the solution: I needed to copy System.mdw from my PC to the server, then after launching the SQL Server 2005 Import / Export wizard, I specify the file but the leave the username and password fields blank, then click advanced and choose the "All" tab. Fill in the database password field there, and the path to the System.mdw above, in the corresponding fields, and I'm back in business.
