Question : HP DL385 with MSA500 Connection Issues
I have two HP DL385 G1 servers connected to my HP MSA500. One has Windows Server 2003 and one has Server 2008 R2. The MSA is split into 2 x Logical Disks. One is presented to the Server 2003 and one to the Server 2008 R2. The problem I have is with the Server 2008 R2. It appears in My Computer as D:\ but when you open it, it says "D:\ is not accessible, Access is Denied" It used to work on this server under server 2003, and I also was able to use it under 2008 R2, when I first installed the OS, but now I can't. I have checked that drivers are on and they seem to be, and I can't see any errrors in the event logs and on the Array Config Utility, is says that everything is "ok"
Is there something I have missed??? You help would be appreciated, thanks
Answer : HP DL385 with MSA500 Connection Issues
I have solved this situation myself......it seems that somehow the hard drive had lost all of its permissions and only Local Administrator had access, so I reset the permissions and all is ok now.
