Question : How do I compare data in 2 columns and only output the differences? Excel 2007

Hello,
I have an excel sheet with 3 columns, column 1 is an approved list of names, column 2 is a complete list of names, column 3 are the account numbers associated with column 2's names.
I'd like to run a formula or macro that takes all of the column 2 data and compares it to column 1, removes the names in column 2 and associated account number in column 3 that exist in column 1. This would leave behind the names and accounts that are not approved on my system so I can prune them.

I'm sure its easy but I'm not seeing how!
thanks,

htrumbu11,

For anything involving duplication, I recommend first having a look at the Duplicate Master add-in:
