Question : word 2007 page numbers

I have a Microsoft word document that is 47 pages.  I wanted to add the page number to the bottom of the documents 1-47.  Everything looks good until you get to page 22, it says 21.  After that the page numbers disappear. So:
pages 1-21 look good
page 22 says 21
pages 23-47 have no page number.

Any ideas?

If you could post the document, that would be great.  

Try this:

Go to page 22
Enter the Footer
Make sure Link to Previous is Selected
If not, click it to turn it ON
Click YES when prompted if you REALLY want to do this
Go to Page 23 and if the page numbers don't appear, follow the same steps.
