Question : Bad Request error

Last week my site was working fine, now I am getting a "Bad Request" error. In my past experience when I got a "Bad Request" error it meant that "friendly error" messages were turned on and turning these off would give me something more helpful. Now the friendly error messages are turned off but I am still gettng this "Bad Request".

My question is, what does "Bad Request" mean?
