Question : How do I use the Windows XP installation disc to replace missing system files?
At one time, I had used a procedure during a tech support call where I was instructed to insert the original Windows XP disc and enter a command in the "Run" box. As it was explained to me, this used the disc to replace any missing or corrupt sytem files. I didn't keep a record of the steps in the procedure and I am hoping I have remembered the situation right and someone can tell me how to do this.
