Question : problems with specific user in exchange 2003 environment

Hello,

I have been struggling with a strange problem in the past few months. the scenario is:
We had a substitute for a user who went to a vecation, a new user came and the users email were forwarded to her substitute (through "general exchange" tab in AD). after the user came back from vecation and the email  forward has been removed ( the substitute has left ) we deleted the user for her substitute, but still every time someone sends an invitation to the user it tries to forward a copy to her substitute from the past and since the substitute user does not exists anymore then a regular NDR for that invitation is sent back to the sender.
I repeat - the user does get the invitation but it still tries to forward a copy to the non existent user.. any help / directions ?

Answer : problems with specific user in exchange 2003 environment

Ok try this.

Go to the users machine.

Start -> Run

Outlook.exe /cleanrules

This will delete all the rules from the users  Outlook.

So if you want to backup the rules then do that then try it,
