Question : Laptop video not displaying

I've got a Dell Latitude D630 laptop with a video/display issue. Upon booting the laptop I can tell the backlight of the display is lit as the monitor goes from being jet black to slightly brighter than jet black. Nothing else displays on the screen (no Dell logo / POST, no windows logo or Desktop). I can hear the Windows login sound and the Skype log in sound so I know the Desktop is loading, I just can't see it. However, plugging in a projector and switching to projector mode works (and yes I made sure it wasn't on projector mode to begin with). When this started a few weeks ago it would sometime not occur, just seeemed random. Now, everytime I boot this occurs. Thanks for your help.

Answer : Laptop video not displaying

If you post your current config (please sanitize it to remove passwords etc) you will probably get more accurate help than this.

There can be a few different reasons for this. Most probably it is not the creation of a configuration group that kills the l2l-tunnel but the way it is applied.
* Your remote-vpn is probably configured with a dynamic crypto map which is applied to the static crypto map. Make sure that this dynamic crypto map has a higher sequense number in the static crypto map than the sequense number used by your static tunnel.
* If you are using preshared-key add the "no-xauth"-keyword at the end of the "crypto isakmp key"-command to make sure that your l2l-tunnel isnt xauthed (asked for username/password).
