Question : How to view .stp or .wsp files in Microsoft Office sharepoint designer mode

I am a beginner in MOSS 2007

I have create Sharepoint site from Sharepoint Configuration.

I have added all the templates to the site.

Now, i need to view the code or design through Sharepoint Designer Mode.

How should i open the files or do changes ..!

Those files are just cab files with a different extension... so rename to cab.
You can't really do changes.

stp is a list/web template file... contains xml + other files.
wsp is a solution file contains >1 xml + dll + other files.
