Question : Domain Controller rename

I need to rename a DC in my child domain.
FFL -  Windows 2000
DFL - Windows 2003 (Child domain in which the DC that I would like to rename is)

Can I do the rename? I know that DFL needs to be in 2003, but just making sure.

Make sure any hosts/clients that are using the DC by hostname are also updated.   Renaming a DC is straight forward.   Renaming a domain much more involved.
