Question : How can I stop my laptop crashing when using graphics intensive programs?

My laptop  crashes every time I run a program like sketchup unless I disable all accelerators under hardware acceleration.

Hardware specs:
Fujitsu Lifebook S6520
XP SP3
Intel Core2 Duo T9600
S3 Graphics Chrome 430 ULP
4GB RAM

Is there any way I can fix this problem? Its frustrating having to disable hardware acceleration every time I want to use sketchup, and losing all my work if I forget...

Thanks heaps

Well, try updating drivers to start. The make sure you have sufficient cooling, i.e Make sure your fans are not clogged and have plenty of space to intake and exhaust air. And just so you know, this GPU isn't the best chip for any graphics intensive program. Last but not least, I suggest using a laptop with a much more powerful GPU, this clearly isn't designed for what you want to do with it.
