Question : Wordpress "Blog within a blog"?

FWIW I am using the default "Twenty Ten" theme with some minor customizations.

I am basically trying to use my Wordpress site to have a "Home" link featuring a news feed (with room for comments, of course), and an "Opinions" page which would be my personal posts that may or may not be related to the news stories posted on "Home".

I would very much appreciate how I could add another blog, such that users click Home and get the normal news feed, and click on "Opinions" and get my own blog, under the same site? Is this possible?

If I'm being unclear in what I'm looking for, please let me know and I'll try to explain better.

Not under the same Umbrella. You would need another WP installation to pull this off.

I answered and deleted this 3 times. I wasn't sure, so I tried it on my blog. I got a no wp.config file error. This is because you can't install it to activate, which sets up the wp-config file.

I think you may be over-complicating things. It could be done with a redirect plug-in like this one:
