Question : Mapping to skydrive via windows explorer

Is Windows 7 Home capable of mapping to a network drive?  I have been trying to make this happen on my Windows 7 home machine without success and it occurred to me this might be a feature only of Windows Pro. Y/N?

That is, one of the options when using network mapping is "Connect to a web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures".  I have tried to use this option and when it asks for a network address, I paste in the URL I use for a certain skydrive.  This, however, only causes an error dialog saying "folder you entered does not appear to be valid."

Anyone know what the problem and or solution may be?

Answer : Mapping to skydrive via windows explorer

Hey WoodrowA,
Try using the Skydrive Simple Viewer, get the URL
then change the URL like it says.
Next step you need to make some modification to the URL.

The original URL- https://cdckda.docs.live.net/sdfsd24645759/Documents

Modified URL- \\cdckda.docs.live.net@SSL\sdfsd24645759\Documents

pretty simple then Map a drive as usual. It works really well and is actually much easier than it looks!
