Question : Macbook Pro Can't Ping a Computer - It's Still Using the Old IP
Hi there. I have a MacBook Pro, running Snow Leopard. When I am at work, I plug into a Windows network.
My Windows PC has a computer name of kh-desktop on the LAN. It used to have an IP address of 10.1.1.66. It recently changed to a new IP of 10.1.1.140.
When I try to access or ping my Windows PC from my MacBook Pro, it keeps trying to use the old 10.1.1.66 address. I did Google searches and ran the terminal command to flush the dns cache. No luck. It still tries to use the old IP. I can successfully ping the new IP address without a problem.
Do any of you experts have an idea of what might be wrong?
I can ping all the other Windows PCs on the network by name without an issue.
Help!
