In Symantec Backup Exec 12, how do I change the backup destination (that is defined in my current backup jobs) from being a tape to being an external USB hard drive?

I want to be able to leave all of my existing backup jobs unchanged (I don't want to have to manually create everything all over again); I simply want to be able to change the backup destination.

What is the quickest and easiest way for me to do this?

The Server operating system is Microsoft Windows Server 2003 for Small Business Server Service Pack 2.

The way to do this is simple connect your external hard drive to your server.
Do the following...
- Open BE 12
- Click Device Tab
- Under Backup to Disk Folders, Right click and select "Backup to disk Wizard"
- Go through the wizard and create a new backup to disk folder
- At the end of the wizard point this new folder to your external hard drive
*Now the B2D folder is created

- Open BE 12
- Click on Job Setup Tab
- Right Click the job you want to change, select properties
- Under Destination, Click Device and Media
- Left hand side, under Device select your B2D folder you just created

You will need to do the second step for all of the jobs you have to point to your new B2D folder.

Hope this helps~!
