Question : Outlook Clients lost Exchange. LDAP Bind was unsuccessful on directory FQDN 0x31 Invalid Credentials.
Hi
I have had problems with this server but here is a major one!
A SBS 2003 R2 Exchange SP1 just upgraded to SP2
Just changed administrators password
The Exchange is now unaccessible from Internet. No OWA (even with IP) no RDP over HTTPS
The problems arised after a reboot I made today (also lost PPTP connectivity). Right after the reboot I checked Apps Events and there were thousands of below right after the server started to shut down. I'll also noticed something related DC promo. I'll dig it out if needed.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeAL
Event Category: LDAP Operations
Event ID: 8026
Date: 7.7.2010
Time: 16:07:15
User: N/A
Computer: SERVER
Description:
LDAP Bind was unsuccessful on directory server.domain.local for distinguished name ''. Directory returned error:[0x31] Invalid Credentials.

I run allready the SBS CEICW wizard again with no help.

Answer : Outlook Clients lost Exchange. LDAP Bind was unsuccessful on directory FQDN 0x31 Invalid Credentials.
The problem were in HW FW. At one point I filled wrong IP address to WAN IP Object.
