Question : stf files being created in exchange

Hi Experts,
From last 2 days my exchange server starts responding very slow and stf files are being created heavily in MDBDATA folder along with transaction logs. I have rebooted server, dismount and mount the store and rebooted IS services but no luck.

windows server 2003 enterprise edition SP 2 with exchange 2003 enterprise

Answer : stf files being created in exchange

The problem solved as following:

1- unfreeze tape
2- delete it from the pool > after that you should see it in scratch pool
3- right-click on media and select inventory Robot
4- in Select robot:
    Device Host: select master server
5- in inventory operation : select update volume configuration.
6- click start.
7- click yes to update inventory.
