Question : Deploy images in a workgroup

Hi all,
I have a client that is a small computer training center.  They want to be able to create images for the student laptops but there is no active directory or other domain at all -- they are using a workgroup as their network.  I have looked at CloneZilla which requires a linux server; Norton Ghost Suite which also seems to require active directory; PING (Partimage Is Not Ghost) doesn't seem to work for me either.  Are there any suggestions for how to approach this even if it is one of the things I've already worked on?  Before I really get into any one of them I would like to know which is the easiest to implement.
Thanks!

Answer : Deploy images in a workgroup

What clients are they running? XP, VIsta 7?  I would suggest using drive image xml.  It's a tiny free program that can be easily implemented by setting up a backup job as a task on the first computer, you can export the job to an xml file  and imort that job to the rest of the clients.  You could create a image share on another computer or server to copy the images to.  Have a look at this link. http://www.runtime.org/driveimage-xml.htm

I use it for backing up my home computer and haven't had any issues in restoring.  Try it on a couple of clients and see how you get on

Good luck
Roger
