Question : X3500 IBM Server Keeps Powering Off After Post
Help!
Stuck on a server that keeps powering off with a click. I originally walked into the message!!! CRITICAL ERROR: Memory retention failure, unflushed cache lost !!!.
I changed the Raid 8k chip and battery. I also replaced the power supply. I sill had same results after I swapped parts. I have booted from cd and ran the IBM Hardware diagnostic and it passed on all fronts. It ran for 40 minutes and never powered once. This made me feel like the board is fine. And maybe it’s a driver. But I can’t get into OS to play with drivers.
I also have tried to get into another OS (ultimate boot / ERD) and both cause power off at point where it looks like it’s about to go in..
I9990650 AC power has been restored is message that shows after each sudden power off.
