Question : Internet connection sharing on peer to peer network
Hi,
My laptop (Vista) is connected to LAN. I have set up a peer-2-peer network (WLAN) and enabled connection sharing according to this guide:

step-by-st
ep-
interne

on-sharing
-ics-setup
-in-vista/
I've tried connecting to the peer-2-peer using both an iPhone and a XP-laptop. Connection succeeds, but Internet doesn't work on the connected devices. I've enabled HTTP, HTTPS and FTP server.
Any ideas?
Henrik
Answer : Internet connection sharing on peer to peer network
A 169... address is a self-assigned IP address meaning the XP computer is not picking up an IP address from the Vista computer's DHCP server. Did you reboot the XP computer as suggested in the last paragraph of your link?
