Question : Email stay with retry status in the queue of Exchnage 2003.
A user sent an email to 780 recipients from our Exchange 2003 SP1 server.
The email stay in queue with "status = retry".
When I opened the msg it showed "delevery failures= 30"
It seem that all internal recipients got their emails but not all external recipients.
In tracking tool it keeps showed at the end:
-"SMTP:Started Outbound Transfert of Message"
-"Message transferred to SmartHost1 through SMTP"
-"SMTP:Started Outbound Transfert of Message"
-"Message transferred to SmartHost1 through SMTP"
In Host1 I did not find the email except one...no traces for the rest.
I have no prob to send outside but it seems every time the same user send to the same 780 recipients...same queue prob happen again.
Is there anyway to know what happen when Exchange 2003 sent email to SmartHost1 through SMTP?
Answer : Email stay with retry status in the queue of Exchnage 2003.
Sage know about it and have a patch to fix it I believe. You'll probably have to ring them to get it.
