Question : Excel Formula Error: Formula repeats itself and does not display answer
Need some Excel magic on this one:
When entering a formula into a cell similar to this example, =H24-Monthly!32 I get the following displayed in the cell once I hit enter to trigger the formula to display its answer:
=H24-Monthly!32=H24-Monthl
y!32=H24-M
onthly!32=
H24-Monthl
y!32=H24-M
onthly!32=
H24-Monthl
y!32
And it goes on for at least a half a dozen cells if not a dozen or more. I'm pulling the second piece of the formula from a different sheet in the same workbook.
This only happens in a certain section of the sheet. I've checked every cell in that area for a formula problem. I can perform the same formula in another part of the sheet or other sheets and it works fine.
Answer : Excel Formula Error: Formula repeats itself and does not display answer
change the format of these cells to general from text. (Ctrl+1)
Then reenter the cell (f2) and click enter.
If you enter a formula in a cell formatted as text, excel will not consider it as a formula.
