Question : 100% CPU usage by Internet Explorer and wayward msiexec.exe

Over the past week I've been having serious CPU usage problems.  Every time I go to use Internet Explorer, my CPU ramps up to about 100%.  When I look in Task Manager, I've got over 60 processes running, three of which are iExplorer.exe and two copies of msiexec.exe (which pop up again as soon as I use TM to end the process).

I've tried a couple of the suggestions mentioned on this site, but have not been able to resolve so I am attaching a hijackThis log, hoping that someone can help me get out from under this really slooooow machine.

Answer : 100% CPU usage by Internet Explorer and wayward msiexec.exe

You shouldn't be getting that message. Also, the multiple iexplore.exe in Task Manager isn't either.

I would give ComboFix a try. Please follow the instructions carefully and include the ComboFix log in your next post.
