Question : Implementing EFS in Server 2008 Environment

Dear Experts,

I have a client , they have environment of Windows Server 2008, Win XP, Win 7, Win vista. They have a shared drive on server. File types are CAD files, 3d studio max files, and some files created using other graphic designing softwares. Also files created with MS office suite.

They want data encryption so that data can not be taken out from the office Windows Domain. Please guide how to begin this, I totally have no idea about it. I know only this can be done using EFS but how?
Please guide me.

Answer : Implementing EFS in Server 2008 Environment

The only way to prevent a file from being copied is by limiting access to the file through a controlled environment where no external resource can be attached, where it can not be emailed nor burned.
The other option is to use a proprietary application to access the data in the file that could include encryption.
