Question : edge to edge cisco vpn module choice

This question is a continuation of this one: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Hardware/Networking_Hardware/Routers/Q_26262290.html
Be sure to read it first or this won't make as much sense.

I have found pricing on the faster aim VPN/SSL modules to be stiff: in the thousand dollar range. Since  the aim module seems to offload the work from the cpu at the vpn local host(server stateside) Can I get away with only putting the expensive fast module on the stateside edge router and use lesser modules if not lesser cicso series on the client side or even older sereis routers with the vpm wotk simply being handled by the board's cpu without significant to crippling performance degradation?
Also do I need the fastest aim module on the server side for my goals.

Answer : edge to edge cisco vpn module choice

>noticed a little note that said you must use 515 on all end of the vpn
Negative.

>Can I use a 2650, 3620, and 3640 we already own on the client side of the vpn and one pix 515e  with vac + card at the server side?
Sure, no problem.

Consider a new ASA 5510/5520 for much higher performance instead of the 515e

Cisco VPN client software carries no additional license costs, and works with routers, PIX, and ASA.
