Question : PowerBuilder application error loading library.  please check whether PowerBuilder accessibility library can be located in the path ?

Hi All,

I got this error message suddenly this morning:
error loading library.
please check whether PowerBuilder accessibility library can be located in the path


I'm not sure what to do since i always left my workstation on all the time nad then when I came in this morning my PowerBuilder stops working on WIndows 7 Professional 32 bit.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your issue is with: pbdwe105.dll

I would first check to see if your application is able to locate this file.

Possible areas to consider:

10.5 install is good.  You may want to try a reinstall if you suspect a bad install or corrupted files.

File is located where the application can find it.  If it is local with the application then should be fine.  If it is distributed over a network then make sure your enviroment is set up to look in that location.

A less likely issue but still something to consider is to make sure there are no permission issues going on which could prevent the application from accessing the files.

if you were upgrading from a previous version to version 10.5 then I suggest you run the migration assistant first as you may have some deprecated code.  This will allow you to make the changes and try again.  As always back up your application prior to any actual migration in case of failure.
