Question : PC Hanging too much :(

Hello guys,

I've recently formatted my PC and installed Retail Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. It was running smoothly few days ago but now a days it started to hang for few minutes, I see hard disk LED is constantly glowing.

Another thing is I used to play Games like GTA 4 without any problem but since I've formatted the PC I'm seeing FPS drops. Sometimes it goes so low that the game becomes unplayable. :( I've installed latest drivers for the graphic card.

I thought there's a Virus or Trojan Horse in my PC so I installed Kaspersky 2011, it found nothing.

What could be the reason and what can I do to resolve this issue?

Intel Q6600 2.4 GHz
4GB DDR2 RAM
1.7 TB HDD
XFX nVidia 8600 GT 512 MB DDR3

The fact that you install your OS on WD10EARS-00Y5B1 is the problem. These drives are slow, only 5400rpm,  benchmark shows that they are much slower than WD BLUE one even they have double cache size, and even slower than Seagate low power 5900 rpm. Many of my friends ask the same question as you do and some how i feel kinda stupid. Please use the product as recommended, don't install your OS on a GREEN drive. Install it on a normal 7200rpm drive and your problem will be gone.
