Question : Upgrading Snow Leopard 10.5.8 to 10.6.2.

Hi there,

I bought an Apple Macbook with Snow Leopard 10.5.8 a few months ago with the intention of developing an iPhone app.

Other work commitments delayed my start on this project and now when I login to the Apple Developer site to download the SDK for developing iPhone apps I'm only given the option to download the iOS4 SDK which requires Snow Leopard 10.6.2 onwards. My question is this: what should be my next step? Obviously I need a later version of Snow Leopard. Where do begin with this? Do I need to become part of the Mac developer program first to download it?

Regards,
Nicola.

Answer : Upgrading Snow Leopard 10.5.8 to 10.6.2.

10.5.+ is Leopard and
10.6.+ is Snow Leopard.

Check if you have the rights to a free Snow Leopard. You need an install disk to install Snow Leopard.
If not, it's not that expensive (compared to Windows at least).

It's easy to upgrade to SL so don't let this be in your way to become a developer.
