Question : aspnet, gridview.. Trimming the data in the bound controls

How do I right trim the fields before user starts altering the info during update.
During update, if the person tabs to the next prompt the prompt is highlighted extra spaces and all. But if they click to the field, it doesn't highlight everything.. You start typing in a blank column and going nowhere because the spaces have maxed the charactors out.

SSIS is part of the sql install where you have to check what components you want to install (Integration Services, Reporting Services, etc etc).
