Question : can a windows 2003 domain controller and a windows 2008 domain controller coexist ?
Hello
I have a question about a 2003 Dc and a 2008 dc with exchange 2003?
can a 2003 dc and 2008 dc coexist together with exchange 2003? I was hoping to upgrade to a 2008 dc but have heard exchange 2003 will not coexist.
current domain is at a 2003 level with 2 2003 dc's with a 2003 exchange server. I have seen the articles and posts about migrating to a 2008 domain and having to AD prep the forest etc...
I have a 2008 64 bit server I want to make a dc to take advantage of the 2008 AD but am not sure if it will all work together.. any help is appreciated
Thanks
Answer : can a windows 2003 domain controller and a windows 2008 domain controller coexist ?
I have done it with an SBS2003 server and added a 2008 server as a DC at a remote site. After upgrading schema, forest prep etc all been working fine for 6month for me.
Hope this helps.
