Question : Exchange 2010 Hub Transport Role Install Fail on Server 2008 R2
I am having the same issues installing Exchange 2010. I have a clean 2008R2 Enterprise server running in a 2008R2 domain. This is a clean environment that has never had Exchange installed before.
I have tried with the default IP6 settings and have also tried unchecking IPV6 from the network settings then doing the registry hack (can't seem to find that link right now)
I've also performed all the Exchange 2010 prerequisites as instructed here:

#WS08R2
Also, we have no DHCP servers, we use static IP's due to one of our core systems.
To clarify I get the following error:
Error:
The following error was generated when "$error.Clear(); if ($RoleStartTransportServic
e) { start-SetupService -ServiceName MSExchangeTransport }" was run: "Service 'MSExchangeTransport' failed to reach status 'Running' on this server.".
Service 'MSExchangeTransport' failed to reach status 'Running' on this server.
Any help is appreciated.
Answer : Exchange 2010 Hub Transport Role Install Fail on Server 2008 R2
I was finally able to get it installed by assigning a fixed IPV6 address with no default gateway. Thanks for all your help.
