Question : Install Windows 2008 server and make it work as Domain Controller on Domain

Hello Experts,
We have server running window server 2000 at this moment and I want to download 64 bit 2008 Server and then want this server to function as domain controller on the domain.
Can someone please guide me how to what components I would need to install on 2008. And how I will promote it to work as Domain controller on the domain.
I have never set up a server for this so any instrcutions would be really helpful regarding this. Thanks a lot.
