Question : LaCie Ethernet Big Disk data recovery from a failing drive

Hi
I have a 2TB LaCie Ethernet Big Disk EU+UK  which is failing and 3/4 full

On boot i can see the drive folder structure & files
when attempting to copy it stops with errors like network drive no longer available or Drive letter in use.

Before this drive totally fails i like to copy of as much data as possible any one know of a better solution then windows explorer this needs to work with either a Netword drive or a USB drive?

It's no longer in warranty so taking it apart and plugging the drive directly into a motherboard cauld be an option if i can find out how / if it'll work?

Lacie support aren't helping send it back we will wipe the drive mabefix it for you & charge you a huge fee (which i'm possibly better of putiong towards a new drive)

Answer : LaCie Ethernet Big Disk data recovery from a failing drive

i believe they use a raid 0 setup in that device.
if you open it, you'll have to determine what disk is bad - recovery of a raid 0 system is possible if the disk is still accessable, here some links to free, and other recovery software :
