We will be changing our website so we are hosting it internally.
lets say our public address is www.contoso.com.  
Using IIS7 or rules on my firewall/router - how can I make it so that when people go to www.contoso.com they are actually lead to www.contoso.com/contoso2?
Would it be by using the rewrite module in IIS7?  If so, how?

I see.  Then you will probably want to take a look at the link posted earlier.  You will want to use a content editor web part, or a redirect page.
