Question : Reinstalling MAC OSx from the begining

Hello experts,

I had a MacBook Pro for the first time six months ago. Because I was new to MAC, I have made a lot of mistakes.

Now I have a good experience and I want to intialize my MacBook from the begining, but I have lost the DVD which was shipped with my computer.

My question:  Is MAC OSx available at apple.com for download? If not, would you advice about a solution?

I don't condone the illegal distribution of copyrighted software but since u own a copy and misplaced it and may not be able to have the replacements mailed to u then u may want to try googling for a torrent that u can download and burn.
