Question : Connecting two rooms...
Looking at the following situation.
Two rooms in a home office. Peer to Peer network, no server.
Computers, printers, etc in both rooms. Modem, Router, Wireless in Room1. We want everything in Room2 to be on the same network so printers and files can be shared. Construction of building makes a wired connection between the rooms very expensive... so hoping to work this out with wireless.
We were using a NetGear WGPS606(4 ports) in Room2... but now have run out of ports. We can add a switch but prefer to upgrade to one unit that would
a) connect us to the wireless access point in Room1.
b) have 8 or more Gigabyte ports for the hardware in Room2
Having trouble finding a unit like this. Room 2 has two computers, three printers (all network ready - but not wireless).
Any suggestions on hardware or alternative ways to do this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tomster2
