Question : GetDataBack on a USB drive is finding everything except files on the root of the drive
This is peculiar and I wonder if anyone else has gone through this and might be able to offer advice. I'm trying to recover deleted files off of a USB drive formatted as FAT. There was no failure of the drive and it is in perfect working condition. I just need to pull a few files that I Shift+Deleted as backups. I ran the FAT version of GetDataBack against the drive and it finds *everything* going back to 2008 - old directories that I have long since forgotten - but it's not finding the handful of files I actually need on the root of the drive. These files were saved quite recently and there's plenty of space on the drive. How can I force GetDataBack to look at the root? Or is it trying to tell me that it can't find these very recent files? Thanks,
