What's the best bang for the buck to get your site ranking higher on searches?

I'm looking for blog entries, high pr links, backlinks, deeplinks etc..  What would you recommend? What have you tried that worked for you?

No company reps or self advertising, I want to hear from webmasters who tried something for themselves and had a positive or negative experience.  Who to trust? Who to stay away from?

   You can use a third party backup utility by the name of .acronis software. It simplifies the job and is reliable . I personally use the same for my computer.
